The Dark and moody weekend Pose,Flash, Adjust

Saturday. A new location for me is always a learning curve i feel it can be a big test and this one was a test in its own way from lighting mainly and settings also finding locations and following a map that was hard. I will say the cosplayers that attended that day where amazing sadly I didn't get to shoot with everyone that i wanted to shoot but i feel that's because there busy and i was busy but also trying to find each other was a nightmare because there was no phone signal what did not help at all. i will be looking into a radio system / base so when my next shoot is ready they can call me through it. It was definitely a test for lighting as well flash works well but also looking into more still lighting so then i can see and do a bit of both still and flash photography especially in the dark places where I really needed more light. overall the day went well it went too quick i think i had a little panic on seeing people and getting to shoot but I fell I will be changing things on how i work for the next one and will be doing some sort of booking for the first half of the day and then the second half having it open. I will say a big thank you to thecaptainvader for helping me with a lift for both days and thank you for Just_stephk for helping me out find the ride I needed there and back.

Sunday. now i have semi learnt where to go but still getting lost was a nightmare but it was getting better still trying to find new location was a pain but was a ok thanks to the cosplayers out and about also the helpers it was always fun turning left when pose to turn right. Another day getting the lighting right and prepared and everything but it tested me and opened my eyes to get more still lighting. it was amazing to see different people and shoot with more different people i sadly feel i still didnt shoot some of the people i wanted to but how time flies when having fun creating it happens but i hope to shoot with them in the near future at other events. i am also in the making for a new top and jumper just for two amazing people to press the shit out of it and have a right laugh with them i will say a big thank to them because they kept the laughs going and fun going through out the day shooting trying to hide from each other and press my shoulder i fount them doing it a couple time but other times i was like what was that. and see them in the distance the two people are just_stephk and switch_8.9. thank you but just wait for the next one. And more of the double taps (hugs) inside confusion happened then. At the end there was a big smoke shoot what was amazing to see i was not there photographing but there to see how other people work and everything else so they had the thickest fog/ smoke in a part of the bunker was lit red and well you could just about see well when i was in the smoke i could only see the weapon of the co only see the cosplayer and that was fun so i will say a big thank you to Iphotouk and Declanscammell letting me be there to help out. I went there as a helper and to see what creations can be made and that is always a plus on my side of things because they all know that am not just here for my own creations but also to help out where needed.

overall thank you to everyone for the fun and giggles during and after the con event i cant wait for the next one and cant wait to spend more money on lighting thanks to Iphotouk seeing his shots and sets he did. It has inspired me to add a few more to my collection. Also a new lens to get more creative as well. there will be a new layout and setup for how i work at the next con I may have a time slot thing half the day and then the other half leave empty. so then i know 100% I will get to shoot with the people that want to work with me but also work with new people on the fly.

This is normally the final big event this year to cover and what a event it was.

Thursday

Get into hotel I was staying at Moxy hotel what was an amazing stay and had bar and food and also pool really everything i needed. I do wish the bedrooms had proper allocated wardrobe for clothes so got there dead on 3pm chilled for a bit saw a couple of the friends clock in and all that then we just chilled I tried to get but passes early but there was some stupid rule just to put more money into the pockets of excel so I didn't do that. so back to the hotel waiting for one of my mates Ducky and then we went to the pub for pre con drinks and a chill met so many other con mates on the Thursday went back to the hotel and prepared for the weekend.

Friday

what a day first time cosplaying and shooting as well. It was manic first getting gun check and the Security check breaking both props then having go to security HQ and reporting it all as well as getting passes and then to get the spot where we do photoshoots. such a busy morning it was crazy so once all that happend the magic starts with the ALT Focus team at the ready to produce some epic videos and photos bring it on . it was a cold day sadly the weather was not on my side wind wise but at least it was dry once the event was over it was back to the hotel to chill and get ready for the after party what was a mad one, Four rows deep and an h r later the first round was in it was crazy not enough staff to run the bar smooth and quickly. It was a late one that day from drinking until 2am and then i got back with also helping someone out that knight so did not get rest until about 5 in the morning maybe later. so a long day.

SATURDAY

After a long knight it was an other cold one but this time the rain wanted to play its part as well what was a nightmare. it was a busy day big time so many people wanting photos and each of us going inside to get different photos of the event.

When the rain cam it was quick bursts of heavy rain what was a nightmare to happen because everyone rushed inside or under the shelter where we was shooting. This day is one of the longest days of the event but it is worth it because we can play with neon's and LED lighting as well when it goes dark what is so fun to get creative. after the day we chilled a bit with the security outside near the green the team is so respectable and chill its amazing and makes our days so fun and easier to work because we know we can go to them and the situation will be sorted or if we need to wait we can. We have a right laugh with them too. so after that day of coldness the time was up and I just wanted to be back at the hotel to chill so me and an other photographer (Articwolfpackphotography) went back to the hotel and had a few beers and some food and had a lovely time chatting about food and photography

SUNDAY

The last day of MCM comic con this day was fun one most people i met that day was ready to get creative or just chilled in there casuals what was fun as well but it was not too bad of a day less panic than Saturday but we had to get the shots done it was an other cold day i was not too bad but with a bald chin it was cold it was tempting to do some raining but did not do it thank god. so yeah Saturday was a just nice chilled out day nothing major happened this went really quick it was crazy so during the event i got left a hoover by the wonderful Violet because well she just didnt want to be walking around with it so i did my good deed and said yeah leave it with me i will look after it well it was kicking out time and we still had this hoover so i had to have a laugh with security once again and they put it over the radio two photographers waiting for two ladies to collect a hoover. About 30 mins to an hour went by due to the amount of people in the venue it was a nightmare and really cold i could not fill my feet sadly i had to cancel two outside shoots because of the rain turning up and the coldness of the weather but had a brilkl time with Luke and Richard after in the Moxy hotel chilling drinking eating and playing pool once again until late then sorted out my gear ready to clock out in the morning.

Over all a long weekend of photos and food and drinking was fun but dam it was a nightmare as well. this is always an expensive one but such a fun one.

THE FINAL RACING OF THE SEASON

It was a mad time we get there Thursday with the caravan early and there was already a que to get in but the organisation skills were not the best at all. They got us to que then they started to let in the first lot but they had not enough people people to organise it correctly so people did just jump in the lines and everything not the best, once got there we got the normal sport and set up and hit the drink. Then in the morning got up cooked the breakfast and then that gets the day on the go prep the camera and then go to the track get some shots look at the stalls and all that to see if we get a barging but there was nothing . walk the track and then see some more racing and then go back to camp to start dinner most of the weekend was the same except Sunday because it was a bit wet from Saturday and then Sunday. but the racing was really good i wished it was closer on the points.

lets bring on all the changes from systems to engines to teams its going to be a mad one next year i feel but also a really fun one.

I have been updating

I am gradually updating all the photos across the website, It is taking some time but also is fun to see how far I have gone with certain categories of photography its crazy.

I am trying to do this all before I go for a little break. Yes I will still be taking my camera to get some wild life and location photos but at the moment the key thing is getting all the cosplay photos uploaded to the website. Secret Con

21/06/2025 - 22/06/2025 The first Secret con I attended

This was my first time attending to this secret con. I had heard about it but never had the the time or space to do it sadly but it come to this year that I thought I treat my self near my birthday, so I thought lets go for it and see what its all about and how good of a Cosplay con it is. well all I can say its more about the creators and photographers and getting the art together and an epic location so it gives everyone to haver a chance to work with many different people and have fun creating . The weather sadly did not know what to do it was hot one time then shower so as creators we had to play around and be mind readers with the weather or just go with the flow and shoot in the rain. I will be 100% going again and people should go and give it a try. Have fun create and live your life with other creators.

All Staff are amazing and polite and helpful what makes photographers and cosplayers job a lot easier and more relaxed.

I so cant wait to go back to castle/ manor or see what it coming new to the venue side of things.

This was a mega one

What a weekend it was. This was one of the most busiest weekends i have seen it was mad Friday was a good chilled day at the start getting my creators pass what was the best way ever done then once through security is all and checked i was ready to get creative with photos but also with a new DJI that I invested in to create some epic videos for all kinds of events. I had a right good laugh with the contracted security what is always better and makes our weekends so much better and easier. Then the shooting starts i met so many people that's normally come to me and the other fellow photographers also met some amazing new people, that was amazing to see that people were recommending us to others to shoot with them. Had not real big trouble with putting up a backdrop what was amazing.

Saturday The mad one.
oh my now if you think you you can deal with crowds and that well this will test you. Saturdays are something else its is crazy you definitely need a team of people to work through it all than god i know a group of photographers that come to me but also ones that walk around and then come over to make sure we are ok but also then i got the tank the cosplayers that bring us drinks and that but also see how we are and get photos it was amazing to hear how many have recommend us to other cosplayers. We have a few new ideas for the future events but also something big coming soon.

Sunday normally is a nice chilled day well woops not this time i feel it was roughly the same as Saturday what is crazy but also good to see new people around the shooting area what makes us as photographers so happy to see and it keep us busy working and creating. lets just say the Saturday and Sunday will be the crazy days and then Friday will be a chill day.

It is always good to catch up with the contracted security there and when setting up we can have a laugh but also when closing down we can have a laugh with them and they keep us safe and if we have any problems we can get it sorted asap what is always good to see.

Overall what a weekend cant wait for next time then will get even more creative also more short video and more coming soon.

No Temple but MCM coming soon

I cant wait to attend the May MCM to see all the creators and cosplayers also to get to talk to a few of the brands inside. New projects on the horizon but also loads of photoshoots to happen and loads of creating . I will also be doing a write up all about the event sadly i wont be able to go to temple Military show but there is an other show later on in the year that is a few more days and bigger so bring it on.

My review of the weekend

FRIDAY

Friday is always a mega start day to get all passes and everything checked in and see all the friends you don't see from event to event or once a year also for a press guy its always a good day to see the team also to see how the security is going to be. On my side everyone was helpful and prepared. I went early because it was a new event as such because MCM and EGX came together for this event do I think it was good. yes because there was more there but also not because the crowed was a lot bigger and it was a fight to get anywhere thank god I stayed out side most of the day shooting outside, what can be a challenge sometimes especially when some random security lady not even linked to mcm or that thinks I need a pass that I do have a pass to shoot there and they just don't like press cards or anything like that and they wanted me to pay more to go somewhere I already have permission to shoot at it. but just say I didn't see her anymore. After that the day was a bit slow i had other photographers come up and say have you shot and all that and I was like yeah but not as much as always then when i said that the next 2 hours was crazy. ( I should never open these lips.)

SATURDAY

Saturdays are always a manic day so i arrived extra early to prepare the area where me and a fellow photographer Viz @Viz_rod and what can i say it was one heck of a busy day we had a wonderful backdrop by kate backdrop ( Kate Backdrop | Shop UK 2024 Affordable Photography Backdrops ). It helped us out so much and I had so many people give me such good feedback on the back drop its made me think of the future and what i need to do and bring on the other events i do. it was like sardines inside of the venue it was crazy so i done a quick walk around and got a few shots and then went back out where the real party is. and it is the longest day so when it is later on in the day Viz gets out the neon lights and we had some more wild creativeness it was mad. We are always doing something on Saturday but it is so amazing and its so amazing to see so many people coming to see us for photos to be taken. A big thank you goes out to Kate backdrop for sponsoring me the backdrop. I would also like to thank everyone that came to see me and Viz it makes us feel so happy and makes the day go so quick.

SUNDAY

So the Sunday is normally a quite day where the photographers can relax and everyone normally out drinking Saturday night so not many people get up early but well this year because there was not just the MCM fans but now also the EGX fans it was mad I got there before the gates and it was filling up quick so once the gates open i was in and ready had a little walk around again before it was like sardines again and then back out to get the first shoot on the go but yeah Sunday are mostly chilled out days meet a few new people or others that could not do the Friday or Saturday and then its just people from the other days with different cosplays wanting photos of them because they have neve done it or they just want to work with me again.

Overall one of the most packed out event and one i can say i met loads more people and got my name out there so much across the country its made me so happy and proud i love going every year it would be amazing to next time get a live feed camera set up so people can see us working and do some BTS something for the fans. looking into getting more lights and a better lens.

UK GLAMOUR AWARDS

Another year gone and another year to attend

Lets go this this when i know it is getting close to the end of the year because the UK GLAMOUR AWARDS star up and people come out from the woods hitting the competitions, People you haven't seen for the year attend its crazy but also very fun but also sad because you know that's another year gone but also its so frustrating because you see people elbow to elbow shaking hands and all that but then next year fighting for the same 20 pound note. I stand back and let it all blow by. If people want to work with me they can if people want to book me they can but if you want to bitch about me go for it because i don't care i got my own battle to deal with. But on a good note it is an amazing time to let hair down and see who is where and what's going to happen next year.

Winter season the end of the year

I will be covering the October MCM. This time of the year can be a bit cold and the weather can be a bit crazy but its Britain so we are normally wet and cold around this time. I cant wait to see what the winter season brings costumes and the people that i meet. I have already got loads of people messaging me ands letting me know what they are going to be and where i will be to get photos this year i will try get my back drop up and available it really depending on how many other photographers will be around to help me out.

MCM Comic con

24th - 26th May

MCM Comic Con is an event where loads of creators can be themselves without any problem being classed as strange or anything of that kind. The cosplay community is a community no one can beat because they are all there for the same reason to show off their creations and have a good time and they all show so much respect to us photographers it is crazy over the weekend I had so many people from all over the world come to me for a shoot and it was fantastic, yeah I am not fully on board with all the cosplay and quite new but they still come over and don't mind me asking questions and I have built some amazing friendships with most of the creators I have met over time.

FRIDAY

This day is always a meet-up start day for all fellow photographers to meet up again and catch up but it is also good for everyone to meet and organise the weekend ahead with shoots and that so yeah Friday can be quiet but also busy meeting all the people you haven't met for the year

or since the last event. For me, it is normally year after year and I get to see the Irish and Swedish there are a few groups from those countries that love shooting with me, and I feel so happy but also shocked every year.

SATURDAY (The Mad Day)

This day is always one of the busiest days of the weekend It is crazy with people in the thousands coming through the doors and outside doors is a bit of a no go so I do try to stay outside all day because you can't swing a cat in there some times and also bring resources for yourself and whoever is coming unless if you like queuing for a long time then go for it don't say I have not been warned. Saturday is still an amazing day but it can be so overwhelming it's crazy. Even when I am outside in my area I have to have breaks thanks to other fellow photographers

vizrodmedia and cecaptureyephotography . Thanks to them we all get breaks and time to rest and reframe ourselves. To then get ready for the next mad rush of cosplayers. We have our regulars that come and make sure we have eaten and are ok keep us calm and collective what is so amazing to have. Overall on a Saturday, it is just a mad day for everyone from cosplayers to photographers to even the public.

Sunday (The Final Push )

Sunday is a lovely chilled nice relaxing day not too busy It is when everyone is tiered in pain from the last two days mentally or physically it is crazy normally photographers have a slow morning a bit of a mid-day rush then a slow stage again and then at the end have a bit of a final shoot. Sunday seems to be more for also people who didn't come the Saturday because of how mad that gets so they come on one of the calmest days of the weekend.

Overall
The weekend is fun and all go go go inside and out, I met new people and old friends across the world had a load of amazing feedback and sent out a load of photos what is always amazing to do. Here are a couple reviews I had that made me feel so happy with the job I done.

TEMPLE AT WAR

11-12 May 2024

I will be attending for the first time temple at war. Temple at War is a two day military and vintage event packed full of everything to create one of the largest interactive and immersive historic re-enactment events in the south east of England.
There will be so many different small activities going on throughout the weekend show.

This year has been a good start to the year when i have been published now 2 times this year just got to see what about next month hopefully get something in for then but i don't know what and where. I have already been published world wide what is amazing to see work that i have produced go into magazines and more.

Photoshoot with Rokky

It was an early morning cold start and a lot of traveling around into London and then back out to the area where the get to the venue there sadly was a train replacement so I had to wait a bit for that to arrive and then well its game on to get the most sets done as quick as we can in the time we had. I was fun and we shot overall about 6 sets mostly lingerie. some art nude/nude.
Rokky is one amazing model to work with I have shot with her several times and this year we are trying to make it more often than once a year. In between shoots we had a laugh and a joke also a small business talk about future plans and what's nest for both of us and what we have planned for the rest of the year. also on some breaks just chilling and smoking . All my shoots are all chilled try not getting to stressed out about it all. Rokky has a lot of clothing to shoot in so its never the same kind of things that we both wanted to shoot so it was a good day at the office.

Chucking my self in the deep end

What can I say it was something I have always wanted to do more and more each time I grab the camera to take photos I think that would be an epic slow Mo. Well as time has gone on I have taken the leap to invest in new camera equipment but now have also been looking and buying new videography equipment as well not the best thing to do when trying to get more long-term contracts but, You got to invest first to earn. So now I am a proud owner of a full gimbal setup with also a sound recording system. Now the part I go deeper well just to say I went straight for the gut shot and went filmed 11 scenes for adult content creators. It was the most exhausting thing I have done in a long time I was wetter than any one of them no pun intended. There was so much respect and fun in doing this it was amazing, People give it a bad name and all that but at the end of the day all everyone is trying to do is work and keep a roof over their head and that is exactly what we are doing, earning that bread to make sure everything is paid for. This is why I am trying to do everything and anything to get my name out there and to be seen and heard from all directions it should not matter what I do, It should be classed as a skill that I can do not just one thing or one genre of taking photos or videoing

New Equipment

I have just invested in two new parts of equipment to improve and do something different than just photography i have now got a DJI Rs2 Pro Combo, This is a gimbal so i can put my DSLR camera onto it and have smooth recording when i make videos yes i said videos this is one of the new things i am going to be doing very soon. I have also invested into a wireless microphone and that is the Rode Wireless GO II so the sound will be a lot better than the on board mic . UK Glamour awards

It was my first time to attend to this event as a spectator but also a nominee

This Awards event was outstanding but also it has opened my eyes to other doors of the industry but also i have learnt how far my name has really go, I had many people come up to me and say hi it's nice to finally meet you and all that. It shocked me the most when some of those people where people I haven't spoken to, and they are top class model or adult performers. It was a bit of a mad start to the event being new and never been to one the getting in was a bit crazy. Once in it was mind blowing but also relaxing and such a nice atmosphere. Every person there was for the same reason to have a nice night and enjoy them self to network and also if they can to come away with an award. I was entered into the UK Glamour photographer 2022 sadly I didn't win but I know I was amongst ten other photographers so that is a win for me. I will be Attending next year's event also to the UK Fetish awards. Now I know where and what I need to do and how much I need to up my game as a professional photographer I am going to smash it out next year.

THE NEW SITE

This is the next stage

Hi Everyone here is the new website i have been creating. It has taken some years to get it all right from creating it on many other platforms and having trouble with others its been a nightmare but this is the one I find that is the best kind and so much to happen on here in the future like this blog section, I find it a good way where you can see what I am up to and all the key events that happen or going to happen.
